Lost in the Concrete Jungle

The title is straightaway lifted from a story I read as a child, Lost in the malayan jungle. It was probably a story about how someone fell from an airplane and was stranded or rather lost in the jungle and finally with much struggle found his way home.

Similar to the story I as well feel lost in the concrete jungle, just existing in some corner and making money to exist more it is a vicious cycle and the rat race isn't helping much either we continuously crave for more soul sucking electronic/media gadgets and try to earn even more and more for latest gadgets or the latest lifestyle.

Simple things in life as taking a walk in nature, running, playing a sport is so difficult and rare that life just feels like a robot's algorithm, and there is always a next career growth or promotion lined up for which we have to buckle up and slave it off, remember  rat-race.

This continuous monotonous existence has created more problems for an individual than it has solved with respect to company or economy growth. There is depression, heart-disease, anxiety and lots of other diseases which we acquire owing to this rat race, only a few are able to balance it out and be happy. Interesting part here is that even for those who are happy their methods of happiness might have changed. That brings me to the question what is the source of happiness ? and does source of happiness define the quality of happiness, is there really something like quality ? or are we just looking for satisfaction ?

What meaning my existence has without happiness or satisfaction ? Can we be joyous all the time ?
Maybe no but satisfied maybe. Satisfaction probably comes from accepting things as they are, now the question comes in if we are too satisfied where will the energy for new experiences and growth come from.

I believe the answer lies in the fact that happiness/joy/grief/sorrow  all will keep occupying the mind in all situations, however to fight and move towards a certain mental state is the key and letting go is an essential part of the act. As a matter of fact one cannot have everything in life, at a given point in time you would be able to enjoy either cold coffee or hot coffee , for one experience you have to let go another and you have to decide what will you do !?

Letting go is important because why would I want to be part of something which is not making me happy for a major chunk of life ? simply to exist to find happpiness another day ? I guess its wrong, I believe happiness is now.

Balance is an important aspect in life, chaos and order both are needed, order for sustainance and chaos for growth as without chaos order will not change and without order getting change it will not provide sustainance for long. Balance in individual life and in the life of Company/Organisation/Business or Country is needed for existence.

Suppressing unwanted memories(source -science direct)

Research suggests that suppressing unwanted thoughts, generally, is an ineffective thought control strategy, because suppression attempts oftentimes fail, and, furthermore, result in a paradoxical increase of unwanted thoughts, later on. The present study sought to investigate whether manipulated expectations about suppression efficacy determine actual effects of suppression attempts. To test this hypothesis, participants listened to an audiotaped story, and were subsequently appointed to one of four conditions: a no-instruction-control (n = 20), suppression (n = 20), suppression-works (n = 20; participants were told that suppression generally is a fruitful strategy), or suppression-does-not-work (n = 25; participants were told that suppression primarily has paradoxical effects) condition. Two hours later, participants’ memories of the story were tested, and several metamemory questions were answered. Induced expectations actually determined the perceived efficacy of suppression attempts, as well as thought frequency, although perceived or actual accuracy of recollections was not affected by the instructions.

Identity 'crisis'

Its all a believe, no not some hypothesis showered by some hypocrite, its all your belief as you choose it from a million of thoughts a million of else things to believe, what is the quest, the quest inside you, your belief answers your quest or may be not then you seek new belief, to be in peace, to have all your quests answered.Beliefs thus change, often reverting on the previous ones its not a pretension not a circumstantial agreement its what you believe from your heart and soul, actions are based on beliefs your belief of wrong and right, false and true, just and unjust every bits of human behavior lies explained, your very notion of the world changes, as a person a new one is created most usually a blend of the old and new. Its not your face its not your looks persona is something else, or simply ask once to self and answer this what makes a person 'a person' ? its all believed to be your behavior your actions and your beliefs.

Then a very fundamental question arises what is your identity, is it the essence of what you believed originally and thats only traces of your new personality acquired, or even lost and became irretrievable then what is your identity is it not lost and created every 'five springs' thats why sooner or later when very fundamental beliefs lies lost within An 'identity crisis' arises and we all are to experience this "Identity Crisis" sooner or later in life and may be more than once.

There is a 'why' !!

There is a 'why' in everything I do I see I feel I believe.Got explanation for everything a why for everything May be this the most unpractical approach towards life but I am bound by my psychology. The analytical powers search reasons for everything that happens even as simple as 'a pin falling' may be a reason is found may be not. This seems as essence of my psyche, is this some sort of curiosity, may be I lack energy so the lazy bone inside me asks why ?
or may be my psyche is constricted to risk an adventure or on a simpler thought is this some sort of quest to understand the world around or am I simply fooling myself .Is it necessary to understand everything, find a why for everything or should some questions be saved for 'tomorrow' where my new questions would find some answers in the light of the new intellect achieved or the time is running low get your answers all in place before the d-day arrives.

Memories

Memories as we all have them, inseparable unforgettable temporary long-lasting sweet bitter cherished renounced. what part does memories play in life are they just all our knowledge and experience collected somewhere in the mind or they have some meaning, associated feeling ,some sleepless nights, some flashing lights. What effect your memory have on you? does it make you strong ? does it make you weak ?does it leave you dry or on a high? creates a longing in
heart.
Memories make you the person you are or rather say you label your own memories as good or bad sweet or bitter, well then does it depends on the outlook of the person concerned,or some things events or acts are really bad that one can take out nothing good, nothing sweet out of it.Memories are the real architect of mind, dreams are result of memories or better to say depiction of how you view them. The current situation in life is understood in light of old memories and thats why memories are important.
But mind chooses the memory what to keep and what to throw there is some hypothalamus inside brain that decides memory content else everything happened would be memory, well there is some control, your most remembered moments mostly constitute your memory but a lot is also there which you never wanted.
Having discussed all the connections now I say
"Your life is controlled by your hypothalamus" ......lol !!

on losing

Well this begins with a simple question --Does like winning losing can be a habit? ...ah not for all, but at least for some weaklings who haven't tasted victory for quite a long, or are these things just crap and all of these is just a mind game, or this question is raised by some pessimist who does not want to see the brighter side of life and keeps whining about his losses.
Well what is the quality of a winner that sets him apart or rather a loser that sets 'him' apart, by winner or by loser here I mean one who has earned quite a reputation for his "name" and the world is filled with large no. of people who are in between closer to one or the other. What most people believe is that all this comes from mind i.e. the mentality of the person or better say for a particular ordeal mental preparedness and confidence matters.
Then another question arises what makes a man mentally tough than others ?is it in genes ? or simply experience and training? what is the best way to develop self belief ?Or can we say a person who gets all comforts physical or mental easily does not make a tough person?
well these things are alright but the biggest question is
How can a loser restart as a winner change his course of life ??
Inviting answers !!
